Thinking About Martial Arts for Your Child?

Our Children's Program welcomes kids as young as 5. Classes are grouped by age and skill level, so beginners train alongside peers at a similar stage. Older kids and teens join our Youth Program, which focuses on confidence, teamwork, and self-esteem. Not sure which program fits? Come in for a free trial class and we'll help you decide.
Yes. Safety is the foundation of everything we teach. Classes are supervised by experienced instructors, techniques are taught progressively, and we maintain a non-competitive, cooperative environment where kids encourage each other rather than compete against each other. Kids learn control and respect before anything else.
The opposite, actually. Martial arts teaches kids that their skills are for self-defense and self-discipline — never for showing off or hurting others. Respect, integrity, and self-control are core pillars of our program. Parents consistently tell us their kids become calmer and more focused at home and school.
Discipline, focus, confidence, fitness, and friendships. Research shows children who train in martial arts see measurable improvements in school performance and emotional wellbeing. Many parents notice better listening, improved concentration on homework, and more self-assurance within the first few months.
Absolutely. Martial arts is one of the best activities for shy or less athletic kids because everyone progresses at their own pace. There's no bench, no tryouts, and no getting cut. Our instructors are patient and encouraging, and the class environment is built to bring quieter kids out of their shell.
Most kids start with 2 classes per week — enough to build skills and see real progress without overwhelming their schedule. We offer a 1-month free trial so you can see if TMD is the right fit before committing. Contact us for current membership options and pricing.
